Dear Alumni,

Season's Greetings…….

I sincerely thank Bapuji Dental College Alumni Association for having shown the faith in me. There is no doubt that Bapuji Dental College as it stands today has been majorly built upon the broad shoulders, watchful eyes and untiring efforts of our beloved Principal and President Dr. K. Sadashiva Shetty who has always strived for highest quality in academics. Thank you Sir.

It is a matter of great honour to be entrusted with the responsibility of editing "International Journal of Oral Health Sciences," which has successfully completed 2 years and published articles of scientific merit. Dr. G. Shivaprakash served as Editor in Chief of the journal for the last 4 issues and on behalf of all of us; I would like to express our sincere thanks and appreciation to his excellent management and devotion to the journal.

With this issue, the journal has moved to an electronic online editorial system with the help of Medknow Publications. Every effort shall be done to get our Journal PubMed indexed. There is a wealth of talent and expertise in our own Alumni and IJOHS shall be a good platform to showcase the same. The journal has its own website which makes article reading, downloading, distributing or printing full texts much easier.

Every article submitted to the journal shall be peer-reviewed by the best in the field. The editorial process will be as follows: A submitted manuscript is assigned to one of the three editors (editor-in-chief and two co-editors), the editor in charge assigns the manuscript to an (anonymous) associate editor. The associate editor, together with referees of his or her choice, passes a recommendation to the editor in charge. The editor in charge makes the final decision and communicates it directly to the submitting author. This ensures that the highest standard in article publishing is maintained.

I am happy to be accompanied by my two co-editors Dr. Gayathri G.V. and Dr. Sujatha G.P. who have graciously accepted the load with me for the welfare of the journal.

In order to expand both scope and volume of the journal, I sincerely request the support of all alumni members.
