“Develop a passion for learning, if you do, you will never cease to grow.”
– Anthony J Angelo.
Oral health is an integral and essential component to general health and well-being at every stage of life. This interrelationship between oral and general health is already proven by evidence considerably over the past decades. An extensive research of publications has suggested that oral infection, especially periodontitis, is a potential contributing factor to a variety of clinically important systemic diseases.
After knowing the fact that the oral health and general health are strongly associated, there is a need for high-quality, patient-centered, collaborative health service by holistic approach for the management of patients. Increased awareness among medical and dental providers regarding the association between oral health, systemic disease, and overall health and wellness has given rise to an emphasis on interprofessional collaboration.
In time, the International Journal of Oral Health Sciences has become a recognized forum for learning and exchange of ideas by and for medical and dental professionals in India and abroad.
The journal's editorial team is committed to maintain a scientific standard by publishing original and review articles of research studies in order to establish the journal as one of the informative journals in the world of dentistry. I hope you find these reviews and case discussions, innovative and educational.
The journal's editorial board appeals to all researchers globally to contribute genuinely to ensure that it becomes an important forum for the exchange of medical ideas and knowledge which will ultimately translate to better health. As such, we encourage submission of clinically oriented original research articles focused on the wide range of conditions encountered in the hospital and clinics associated with the scope of our journal.
We are looking forward to receiving your submission of articles, reports, and notes.
Thanks also to our reviewers, both local and international, who provided invaluable peer review to ensure that substandard articles were revised appropriately or in some cases rejected.
