Dear Alumnus,
Warm greetings from the office of Bapuji Dental Alumni, ever evolving with the help and support of its dedicated members. The Alumni Association creates a space in which alumni can interacts within a community of people who shared a unique experience. The Alumni Association's primary focus is to strengthen alumni relations between students and its alumni, while promoting and considering the best interest of the institute.
One of the most important and logical connections for alumni is with academic affairs. After all, the greatest impact the institution has had on the alumnus/a is his/her academic experience while a student, I am happy to state that our alumni association has decided to take our journal " International Journal of Oral Health Sciences" to the next level.
The new Editor-in-Chief, Dr. Raison Thomas, has worked tirelessly with Medknow publications to bring about this issue. I appreciate the sincerity and diligence displayed by the entire Editorial Board. I encourage the alumni members to contribute and reap in the success of our journal. It is available in both online and print (on demand) versions. It is under the process of PubMed indexing. This shall be a good platform to showcase our talents absorbed from our mother institution to the entire world.
It's no exaggeration when I say that nine out of ten people are nostalgic about the time they spent in school and/or college. They tend to call them "the best days of their lives." That's not to say that their current situation is bad; it only goes to prove that those days when you had no real responsibilities other than to make good grades and stay out of trouble are evergreen in your mind because you were young, carefree and ready to embrace life with a passion. We gain so much more than just an education from our school and college, so it is imperative that we try to give as much back. I request our alumni to think about giving back something to your alma mater. It could be in the form of books, scholarships, latest teaching equipment's or even big machineries like cone beam computed tomography machines. Your contributions would make a big difference to the operating budget of your alma mater and this helps sustain regular programs and initiatives.
I am sure we would have a great time at the Alumni meet, 2013. Looking forward to meet you all………….memories worth cherishing!!!!!!!!
